PM, Sonia target Lalu, Left -- Soniaji, why you forget this after the elections are over

Addressing her first election rally in Bihar, Congress President Sonia Gandhi today attacked erstwhile ally , Lalu Yadav’s Rashtriya Janata Dal ( RJD), and reminded people of RJD’s poor record of governance in the state. “ The less said the better about those dark days,” she declared in an unusually hard-hitting speech.

Referring to the Third Front led by the Left Front and the Fourth Front comprising Lalu Prasad, Mulayam Singh Yadav and Ram Vilas Paswan, she said it had become fashionable to launch fronts. “ God knows how many more fronts would come into existence to oppose Congress,” she exclaimed.

“Jitney morcha, utney neta, aur jitney neta, utney pradhan mantri”, she declared and cautioned people against selfish politicians who are out to grab power. “ Serving people is certainly not their motto,” she added.

Sonia ji, u understand all & u have seen them all... then why after elections you forget what your allies had been in their past... then you forget about them being the criminals who run dictatorship in their misruled states.... Sonia ji, even after 60 years of indipendence a young Indian sees congress as the saviour of the country, but with induction of criminals as allies you are distorting the image of congress in our eyes.... just throw & discard these criminals & opportunists. DOn't wory about winning this time....but you must show courage which no other party yet has shown...... else we young & responsible public know how to takle you & your party also....

'Bloodbath in TN if LTTE chief harmed': Vaiko---- bastard why are you sitting in India.u should be bloody hang in OPEN for talking shit about India

Hate speeches and offensive rhetoric are in vogue this election season as the latest one from MDMK leader Vaiko hits the Election Commission . Vaiko has threatened the Tamil Nadu government of a "bloodbath in South India" if LTTE chief Prabhakaran was harmed.

Using the waning battle as a poll plank in Sri Lanka, he said, "If anything happens to LTTE leader V Prabakaran, there will be a bloodbath in Tamil Nadu."

Vaiko was arrested by the AIADMK government in 2004, under the anti-terror law POTA for his pro-LTTE speech.

He said, people of Tamil Nadu must remember Rajiv Gandhi's assassination and warned that "India will not remain one country if the government refuses to intervene and stop the war against the LTTE".(Source: www.indian-elections.com).....

How can any Indian can bear a person like this Vaiko, who don't even know what shit he is talking, will he cause bloodbath in Tamil Nadu or break India if he assoiciate Prabhakaran who killed Late Mr. Rajiv Gandhi be killed. I feel that these kind of bastards should be hanged to death in open so that other politicians talking shit should get the message that India is our mother & any one talking shit about my mother will be treated this way. I reaquest my fellow indians to kick out these bastards out of country if not that atleast out of Indian Politics... I SWEAR I WILL VOTE against these bastards

Now, Navin Jindal faces shoe attack--- now all the politicians should be ready for the same if you play deaf to poor's pligh

In a second incident of its kind in a week, a retired school teacher on Friday hurled his shoe towards Congress MP Navin Jindal in Kurukshetra "to protest" against Congress' policies but missed his target.

Ram Kumar threw his shoe towards Jindal during an election rally in Kurukshetra constituency, police sources said in Kurukshetra.

While throwing the shoe at Jindal, the retired teacher said he is doing so in to protest of the policies of the Congress.

Police immediately took Kumar in its custody and whisked him out of the rally. Meanwhile, Jindal alleged that Kumar was under the influence of liquor.

Mr. Jindal that poor man was not under the influence of liquor but you politician s are under the influence of "power", due to which you could'nt see the plight of a poor man, who find it hard to make the 2 ends meet. People will keep throwing shoes at you. coz otherwise even the young leaders are getting deaf like your old counterparts towards the poor condition of the poor of this country. I request my country men to throw these type of politicians out, but yes keep throwing shoes on them so that even others should learn from the incident & be ready to get humiliated.

Narendra Modi's new take: Ram without the temple, 3 cheers to You Mr. Modi- Mandir Issue Ko RAM RAM

The Bharatiya Janata Party's star campaigner was in Faizabad on Sunday. But just outside Ayodhya, Narendra Modi avoided
temple talk, focusing instead on development and terror. Is the party abandoning Ram?

In these polls, the BJP will not raise political dust over the Ram temple. The BJP's Hindutva mascot, speaking barely 10 km from Ayodhya's disputed site, didn't say a word about the Ram temple. But he did make several references to Ram.

Development and terror were the focus of Modi's speech. He boasted of the development in Gujarat, and mocked the UPA over its response to 26/11.

He knows the Ram temple has stopped getting votes, even near the epicentre of the movement, Faizabad, where political disruptions have meant no development in the past two decades.

In fact, the one time stringent Hindutva leader Vinay Katiyar has had to flee Faizabad, and contest this time from adjoining Ambedkar Nagar.

The BJP cannot abandon Ram - for that there is Modi - now Varun Gandhi. Otherwise the BJP is not ready to be weighed down by baggage of the past. It benefitted from the backyard of mythology. Now it's chasing the frontier of real politics.

MR. MODI, I APPLAUD YOU FOR TALKING THE DEVELOPMENT OF THE BACKWARD STATE LIKE UTTAR PRADESH, WHICH HAS SEEN NOTHING BUT DIVISION ON CASTE & RELIGION BUT NO DEVELOPMENT FOR THE LAST 2 DECADES. PLEASE KEEP MOVING ON THE SAME LINES & TELL YOUR PARTY PEOPLE TO FOLLOW THE SAME STEPS & PLAY THE CARD OF DEVELOPMENT & NOT RELIGION OR HATRED...... ELSE WE THE PUBLIC OF INDIA, THE RESPONSIBLE PUBLIC F INDIA ARE TIRED OF THE GIMICS...& WILL VOTE ALL THOSE WHO AGAIN PLAY SUCH GIMICS... I SWEAR I WILL VOTE

AMAR SINGH, A 24 HOUR OPERA HOUSE - Amar Singh threatens to quit SP, retracts..

"CLOSE on the heels of what was seeming to be a major flashpoint in the making, Samajwadi Party general secretary Amar Singh, who had threatened to quit the party over his differences with party colleague Azam Khan, climbed down from his belligerent posturing and said "everything is normal."Talking to the mediapersons on Tuesday, shortly after his remarks in the backdrop of what he called "abuses" hurled at him by Azam Khan, which had suggested a rift in the party, Amar Singh said, "I can leave the world but I can't leave the party."He clarified there were no more differences in the party over actress- turned-politician Jayaprada being fielded from Khan's hometown in Rampur.Earlier, the two senior leaders of SP had been locked in an uneasy Relationship, ever since Khan, an influential leader in western Uttar Pradesh, started campaigning against Jayaprada's candidature in Rampur from where she had won in 2004.Amar Singh said in the strongest remarks yet on his role in the SP, "I know where I stand. The day I feel I have had enough, I will say goodbye to Mulayamji and leave the party."

Mr. Amar Singh, you are such a drama. Why do you need to do drama all the time. Do you have any consistency or weight of words. You should be an actor rather than a politician, waise bhi you always want these actors & actresses around you to get all the media attention. But i must say this is the the only qualification you have got. Sir now that you have made a lot of money being in this business, try to do something for the society also, else you go to Mumbai & try your luck in some c grade indian movie as a good director will definately reject you...

Shoe thrown at Chidambaram --- its a warning for all politician against anger growing in common man.. so wake up before a shoe thrown at you..

"NEW DELHI: An angry journalist threw a shoe at India's top security official after a confrontational exchange during a news conference over the 1984 anti-Sikh riots that left thousands dead.

Before throwing the shoe, Singh asked Chidambaram several questions about the Central Bureau of Investigation's findings last week that cleared a senior Congress party leader, Jagdish Tytler, of involvement in the bloody riots that left 3,000 dead.

Chidambaram said CBI was an independent body and that the government played no role in the decision. He called for the public to be patient.

Soon after, Singh told TV reporters that he regretted throwing the shoe but felt Chidamb-aram was dodging the question.

"I just wanted to ask him how justice will be done, but he was not interested in answering the questions." "

Jarnail singh after throwing the shoe said "I don't think it (throwing shoe")was the right way but the issue(1984 riots) was right".

The whole incident if assessed again shows the confussion on part of National Parties like congress in giving ticket to criminals, whom althought the CBI(only agency which just investigates for zillion of years but never come up with the result & always been a toy in the hands of politicians) has cleared a convict but even internally congress knows whats been done & by whom. Its a moral question "how can you send a convict to public to seek their vote & posing another threat to them if he comes in power.

The whole incident shows the anger in an ordinary man who got angry to see the home minister, who did'nt seem interested in answering the question on a very sensitive issue, thats been haunting a whole community for the almost 25 years now. Even the home minister know how lethargic the CBI is in dealing with any case & such an agency is nothing but a huge cost to the tax payers of the country coz they could never been a independent agency & always been a weapon in hands of ruling government against their rivals.

Pls. Mr. chidambram & Ms. Sonia Gandhi, why can't you find a decent man out of a billion population to contest an election, that you have to give tickets to criminals & convicts who have been responsible for the killing of so many innocent. Shame on you guys..........
Friends let get together & SWEAR THAT WE WILL VOTE out such criminals. As Mr. Shiv Khera says " if we remain silent on seeing the injustice & atrocities being done on our neighbours, we are the next in the queue".

NDA is disintegrating, not UPA: Pranab -- Pranab its you who wear glasses to see clearly but think we are blind to see the dirty politics of Alliances

"NEW DELHI: External Affairs Minister Pranab Mukherjee on Sunday described the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) as an arrangement for governance, and maintained that there was no rationale in the analysis that it was disintegrating since the government was still in place.

Briefing journalists here, Mr. Mukherjee said the UPA had never been a political entity as it was the name given to the coalition government at the Centre. “That UPA is still continuing as a government entity. Except for Anbumani Ramadoss and R. Velu [of the Pattali Makkal Katchi], no one has left the UPA because of seat adjustments.”

This, he contrasted with the Bharatiya Janata Party-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The NDA had lost the Telugu Desam Party, the Trinamool Congress and the Biju Janata Dal. So, it was not the UPA that was disintegrating but the NDA, was his submission.

As for the decision of the Samajwadi Party, the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and the Lok Jan Shakti Party (LJP) to forge a united front in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar, the Minister likened it to professional football clubs made up of members from various national teams."

Pranab, why can't you guys can talk straight, your all allies are going the other direction incuding your own leaders like Sharad Pawar & you want us to believe your shit. Talk sense & pray god that the good senses should prevail on you. Accept that your allies are just opportunists like you are & will be back to any one who will show them the bigger bone to chew for 5 years, like you have done to your allies. None joined them for principles but the portfolios they got..... so better you shut up...

Mulayam ko EC ki advice --- Exercise restraint, EC tells Mulayam

"NEW DELHI: The Election Commission (EC) on Sunday disapproved of the remarks by Samjawadi Party chief Mulayam Singh about a district magistrate.

The EC advised Mr. Mulayam Singh to be “more cautious” and exercise “restraint” after it held his reply to its notice as unsatisfactory.

Mr. Singh was issued notice after he criticised a woman District Magistrate who had cancelled arms licences in Mainpuri from where he is contesting the Lok Sabha polls. At a public meeting, Mr. Singh accused the official of losing her sense of proportion and not being able to differentiate between a criminal and a common man. He also suggested that she should get her “head checked.”"
This kind of incident shows that You the people sitting at EC are working hand to hand with the criminals & these people at EC turns a small criminal in a national leader. You people at the EC have the responsible to keep the criminals out of politics but you instead of throwing them our just give a soft advice for warning an Honest women officer, whose only fault was that she was doing her work properly. Even you EC guys are nonsense & just work hand to hand with these hardend criminals........ may god give you a beeter sense only then this country will become a reasonable place to live in.... Rabri ki Khichri --- Rabri under EC scanner

"Patna: Opposition Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Rabri Devi is under the scanner of the Election Commission after the ruling Janata Dal-United (JD(U) in Bihar on Sunday complained she made insulting personal remarks against Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and State JD(U) chief Rajiv Ranjan Singh Lalan and demanded action for poll code violation.

The EC is examining the video footage of the former Bihar Chief Minister Rabri Devi, wife of RJD supremo Lalu Prasad, in which she is shown using alleged insulting remarks against Mr. Kumar and Mr. Lalan.

Television footage on Sunday showed Ms. Devi telling a poll rally, “Lalan Singh is the brother-in-law of Nitish ... and Nitish is the brother-in-law of Lalan. That is why both of them are always seen holding each other’s hands.” Mr. Kumar and Mr. Lalan are not related but the description of brother-in-law was made in an abusive way."

Mrs. Rabri Devi Ji, play the politics of development, accuse nitish kumar for the development, for the crime in the state or issue related to administration of the state, rather than just talking all this nonsense unrelated & untolerable shit. See your own relative before throwing mud on others. Grow up & come out of the shadow of your relatives & talk sense. You had been the chief minister of the state which has the highest no of IAS officers comming each year, which has the brightest & the most hard working class of people helping people in other states also & you still in that mud throwing politics. Even if you see around you will find nothing but all the criminals & anti socials around you. So pls. help India the nation grow instead of just barking for no issue.

Either grow up or be ready to face us the responsible people of the country... Coz this time..

BJP's Ram Rajaya Menifesto.......... u shameless people...just inciting people's sentiments before Polls

"Ram, Rajya and reforms is the BJP's poll pitch in 2009.

There is a return to its core issue of the temple, packaged with the urban flavour of reform. This time the party has given centre stage to everything they couldn't put in the NDA manifesto in 1999 and 2004. So, the Ram mandir is back. A tough POTA-like anti terror law has been promised. And ofcourse there is uniform civil code, and article 370.

Says L K Advani, BJP's prime ministerial candidate: "If there's a definition of an ideal state in India it has been the idea of 'Ram Rajya'." "

Mr. Advani...these type of tactics shows that you are nothing more than a weak man whose only achivement is the demolition of Babri Mosque. You just know of inciting people's sentiments before the polls with your rath yatras or these kind of statements or manifestos, but when you come to power, you back out saying that its against the will of allies, so what have you done of the manifesto which you had on making the government for 5 years...nothing actually nothing, you bloody did'nt even raised the issue of Ram Mandir or article 370 or uniform civil code... so how can you even tell people to trust you. Last time your oly motive was to have a government for 5 years, to taste supreme power( which you have only dreamt of before)...

At one time we the youth of the country use to see the BJP leadership as our ideals but found you no good. You just proved another waste to Indian Politics.

SHAME ON YOU.... I WILL NEVER VOTE YOU.....

Pappu Out of pilitics..sala... --- HC rejects Pappu's plea to contest polls

"In a setback for RJD MP Pappu Yadav, the Patna High Court on Thursday rejected his petition seeking suspension of conviction in CPI (ML) leader Ajit Sarkar murder case to enable him to contest the Lok Sabha polls.

A division bench comprising Justices Shiva Kirti Singh and Dharnidhar Jha, which had earlier reserved its order on March 26, disallowed him from contesting elections as he had been convicted in the Sarakar murder case."

3 Cheers to HighCourt for giving the setback to another criminal by not allowing them to contest the election. I am not in the run for the PM's post: Mulayam ---- Stop Joking....no one want you either....

"Samajwadi Party chief Mulayam Singh Yadav has said he is not in the race for prime minister's post, but his aim is to form a "secular" government at the Centre.

He said for this reason only his party had supported the Congress on nuclear deal issue.

"The post of the Prime Minister or a union minister is not important for me than forming a secular government at the Centre. I am not in the race for the Prime Minister's post," Yadav said. "

Sir how can you even dream of becoming the Prime Minister of this country. I request you to win the election from any place in UP which has all the educated class. I gurantee you can make fool of them. Yes the poor public of this country still get fooled by you and your party & also the other parties in UP playing the similar CASTE CARD of diving the society. Elections creating Jobs as demand for "BOGUS CROUD" in political rallies & processions goes up

As the economic downturn hits jobs, the elections have brought an unexpected upswing in temporary jobs.

Workers are doubling up as part-time party supporters, earning a quick buck, to show up at rallies. It's a few hours of work and a partnership of convenience, that has everyone happy.

Twenty six-year-old Gajanan Uikey, an unemployed youth, carries a party flag, but does not know the name of the Congress candidate. Because Gajanan's interests are commercial and not political.

"I will get Rs 60 for doing the job," saud Gajanan.

Political parties want crowds in the scorching summer, and people like Siddharth Pantawne, a construction labourer, want easy money.

"It's a job of two hours. Go, sit, hear the speeches and come back with hundred rupees. It's fun," said Siddharth.

Tarachand Bante is in high demand these days. He supplies temporary political workers and says it's a win-win situation for everyone.

"I have a 100 labourers here at this site. Rest come from outside, for rallies, padyaatra and morcha. The rate is Rs 150 per head. I get Rs 50 to 60 as my cut," said Tarachand.

Loyalty is clearly not a criteria. Most workers attend different rallies, adding their vocal support to any party, as long as the money is good.

Democracy, especially at the ballot box, is all about the head count. It's about making up the numbers, as it is for the temporary political workers.

Don't get impressed by numbers in political rallies, no one goes there coz of the leaders but for the small amount. What a democracy................. its time for a change....

Are we short of Good people that we need People Like Sunjay Dutt convicted of a Henious Act.

NDTV- 30th March--"Actor-politician Sanjay Dutt will know if he can contest elections when the Supreme Court delivers its verdict on Monday.
Sanjay Dutt had been convicted in 1993 Mumbai blasts case and sentenced to 6 years jail term.
Currently, he is on bail granted by the Supreme Court. Dutt filed a petition in Supreme Court to suspend his conviction so that he can contest Lok Sabha polls.
Earlier, bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt had moved Supreme Court to suspend his conviction and sentence to enable him to contest Lok Sabha elections.

Samajwadi Party had already indicated that Dutt would be its candidate from Lucknow.

Law prohibits a person to contest polls if he is convicted for more than two years. However if sentence and conviction are stayed by court pending appeal, one can contest. "

Salute to Vir Sangvi..for his article-- Living in his father’s shadow

Dear Mr. Sanghvi...
i have always been  a fan of your articles raging from food to politics but after reading this article i am your die hard fan now. I recomend every one to read this article. If somehow this link won't work, let me know i will forward you the article.

Its about the Varun Gandhi Saga...& the oportunist Political Parties...

I really appreciate these lines
"Anybody who has observed the Varun Gandhi saga over the last fortnight will understand immediately what the BJP is up to. At first, it was embarrassed by the hatred embodied in Varun’s speech. Then, it realised it could have it both ways."

And the article end with this eye opener question

"Think about this: if L.K. Advani can’t even rein in Varun Gandhi’s goondas, then what kind of Iron Man is he?
Either Advani doesn’t want to stop the goondas or Manmohan Singh was absolutely right when he described him as a weak man whose sole achievement was the destruction of the Babri Masjid.
You decide."

It leave no scope... we the public of India have to decide & this time we will wote..

CPM will not repeat 2004, says Karat -- Another CPM JOKE... but Mr. Karat its not good enough to laugh at..

Read a post in Tribune website today(29th march) title "CPM will not repeat 2004, says Karat", some extracts.......

"Principal architect of the Third Front, the CPM today categorically ruled out supporting a Congress-led coalition at the Centre, saying the party was whole-heartedly concentrating on defeating it.

“What happened in 2004 is not going to be repeated,” party general secretary Prakash Karat said in an exclusive interview to The Tribune today. He said the recently constituted “secular alternative” (the Third Front) was in touch with “all” non-Congress secular parties, both in UPA and NDA, to impress upon them the viability of a non-Congress, non-BJP alternative at the Centre."

Mr. Karat yes you have done it before with BJP, u sit outside, did'nt support them & enforced another elections on the country, saying BJP is comunal... What about you and your friends in your third front.. they are communal ( because they just talk abot minorities), they devide the society on basis of caste, religion, region & what all.... they just talk about poor, but field only the shit rich candidates to contest elections.... I am refering NDTV.com news... i just read at 2.30 in the morning of 29th march title"
"Maneka Gandhi plays the communal card"

"Amid all the drama in Pilibhit, Varun's mother Maneka Gandhi took the communal discourse in the area one step further. She accused one police officer of opening fire, highlighting the fact that he was a Muslim.

"Only one police inspector -- whom we've kept our eye on for a long time now -- he alone has hit 25 of those people. His name is Pervez Mia. And this is really frightening for he has been root cause of these things for the last 2 years," she said.

When asked to clarify her statement, she said: "I have given you his (police officer's) name. And the accusation is straight pointing at him. Anyways, I appeal for peace. And I am sure that justice will be done."

The MP from Pilhibit, who is hoping to hand over her political lineage to her son, reached her constituency in time to assume the role of the grieving politician, visiting first the injured in hospital and then her son at the Pilhibit jail. "

Menka ji, you are a seasoned person & a very respectable politician, i request you not to start this. We people of India don't expect this from a educated & honest personality like you.. that too just for some political gains....Pls. give a thought what you are giving to the nation doing this. "Varun Gandhi, a BJP candidate in the Lok Sabha elections, was in the eye of a storm for making inflammatory remarks with communal overtones which saw the Election Commission slap a notice against the young scion of the estranged Gandhi family who was also ticked off by his party.

Continuing in the same vein, the grandson of Indira Gandhi told another meeting "If anyone raises a finger towards Hindus or if someone thinks that Hindus are weak and leaderless, if someone thinks that these leaders lick our boots for votes, if anyone raises a finger towards Hindus, then I swear on Gita that I will cut that hand." "

RJD leader Lalu Prasad on Saturday ruled out giving a ticket to party MP Pappu Yadav in the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, saying convicted persons will not be given a chance to fight elections.
"Unless the court stays the conviction how can he (Pappu) contest the election," Prasad said when asked whether the Madhepura MP will be given a ticket for contesting the coming elections.
Yadav, who is lodged in Tihar jail in New Delhi, is currently out on bail. Is convicted to life imprisonment in February last year by a special CBI court in connection with the murder of CPI(M) activist Ajit Sarkar in June 1998.

INDIAN ELECTIONS-2009---EVERY VOTE COUNT

A striking paradox looms large in India's public life after the terrorist attacks in Mumbai, which created a sense of cynicism about democracy and elections. People all over the country have the same motto- they want to do something and take matters in their own hands. Enough is Enough- a message, loud and clear, expressing a resolve that'll be hard to shake. The anger is at ineffective governance, at the political class for being insensitive and callous and at the bureaucracy for being laggard. But mere anger cannot be productive. To ensure that this rage gives rise to a civil society movement that ensures better governance and an answerable class, the right choices have to be made. Choices that have the power to change. Change in the way we fight our war against terror; change in the way corruption is addressed; change in the way caste and communal equations are dealt with; change in the way we attempt to obliterate intolerance; change in the way our polity foresees the future of the country's youth; change in the way we arm our security agencies. But most important, the change we seek from our leadership. The voting percentages in the recent Assembly polls leave no room for doubt that for all its flaws, democracy remains a vibrant reality in India. Amidst the political cacophony and rising through the complexities of Indian politics, is a voice that of people's power- YOU. And every election has a message from the real kingmaker- the voter himself. Each time we queue up to cast our vote, we do so in the belief that elections are more than a process of voting someone to power. It is a nation's search for representatives who govern, not on the basis of their self-serving platitudes, but on the basis of ground realities such as issues of security and livelihood in a transparent, no-nonsense and efficient manner. And most importantly, it ensures the importance of the individual in a democracy.Yes, we only need 'a few' to represent a mass of 'two billion'. But, we need the 'right few' to deal with the complexities and contradictions of a nation as diverse as ours. So for once, let's go beyond the everyday cynicism of inconsistencies and look at India through a prism not so bleak and void of hope. Let us resolve to change the face of Indian polity. Let's begin our search for true leaders, right here, right now. Much before you cast your ballot, instead of going to the electoral booth and complaining of the choices that lie before you, YOU decide the attributes of a true leader, someone against whose name you want to put the stamp of support. Not because he was the best of a poor lot. Your introspection may compel every political party to look within and provide answers. Your vision for the nation may help provide clarity in the minds of all those who are our elected representatives. And, sifting through your idealism, our nation may just find the leaders that embody YOUR dreams of an India, that could have been, but is not and may be.

Third Front....Group of people with only self vested interest

STRATEGY SESSION: Third Front leaders (from left) Sitaram Yechury (CPI-M), A.B. Bardhan (CPI), D. Raja (CPI), H.D. Deve Gowda (JD-S), Prakash Karat (CPI-M), Mayawati (BSP), Chandrababu Naidu (TDP), T.J. Chandrachoodan (RSP) and K. Chandrasekhara Rao (TRS) at a dinner meeting in New Delhi on Sunday.

I read this news today & saw this pic & feeling very disapponted to see this group of non commital & bunch of low integrity leaders comming together and posting a threat to the largest democracy in the country.

But i am feeling more disappointed to see leaders like Mr. Chandrababu Naidu whom any young person in the country consider as IDEAL Leader who has the capacity to bring the much awaited change, but even he get in this dirty swap of politics.

I request the leaders of the stature of Mr. Naidu to pls. come out of this dirty swamp of politics & pls. work to make this Largest Democracy the best place to be in.

I SWEAR.... I WILL VOTE

Red Flag Liars

16 March'09 -
The road ahead: Releasing party's manifesto for the upcoming Lok Sabha polls, CPM leader Prakash Karat accused the Congress of consciously worked towards enriching the already rich. (NDTV)

I got this pic & the statement of Mr. Prakash Karat, the spokes person of CPM while relesing their manifesto.

Please read the above letters in bold & see the state of West Bengal, where Mr. Karat Party is ruling for the last so many years, one can find the irony in these so called sociallist parties who have not given anything to the poor of their state other than the red flag concept where by making the poor even more poorer, landless even more hungry, yes only their own party members more rich... coz there are no industry, no avenues for income for the poor people of the states & they end up either poor there or come to other states as domestic help( one can easily find house help & labourers from west bengal in Delhi).

So these so called Poor People's party has shown how much they are pro poor during th eland acuisition in the past few months.

I am not Pro Congress or Pro BJP but i m against the double talking Party leaders.

Lets show them that they can't fool us..
Lets vote them out... I swear i vote

Indian Elections 10000 cr. massive affair...wow, wish this cud be spent on development

A survey conducted by Centre for Media Studies (CMS) pegs the estimated amount to be spent on the Lok Sabha elections 2009, which would determine the next government in the country, at about Rs 10,000 crore ($2 billion).

At a staggering Rs 10,000 crore, the Lok Sabha polls this summer would cost more than what Barack Obama and others spent in the US presidential race.

According to information available with the US Federal Election Commission, Obama and other candidates collectively spent close to $1.8 billion (nearly Rs 8,000 crore) in the 2007-08 Presidential Elections.

CMS survey does not include the cost of holding assembly polls in states like Andhra Pradesh and Orissa.

While the cost of US elections was spread over a year, India would see the massive spending in a matter of months.

The estimated Rs 10,000 crore cost for the Lok Sabha elections includes about one-fourth or Rs 2,500 crore being spent through "unofficial money" or the cash to be paid to voters by the candidates, the CMS survey says.

The latest presidential elections in the US has been billed as the most expensive ever, with cost doubling from the previous elections held in 2004.

Similarly, the cost of general elections in India, according to CMS, is also set to more than double this year from about Rs 4,500 crore in last Lok Sabha polls and would be
the highest in the history of the country.

According to the CMS study, the government spending would be about 20 per cent of the total expenses, including about Rs 1,300 crore by Election Commission and about Rs 700 crore to be spent by various central and state government agencies for purposes like photo identity cards, EVMs and polling booth.

Various political parties are expected to spend about Rs 1,650 crore from their party funds, which would include about Rs 1,000 crore from the two main parties -- Congress and BJP alone.

In addition to spending by parties, candidates of the national parties are estimated to put in Rs 4,350 crore, while those from the regional parties are expected to spend another Rs 1,000 crore.

As per the information available with the US Federal Election Commission, Obama topped the list of all Presidential candidates by spending over $760 million -- more than double the amount of about $358 million spent by his Republican rival John McCain.

Another Democrat presidential hopeful Hillary Clinton spent about $244 million.

According to another set of estimates for the US elections compiled by Washington-based think-tank Center for Responsive Politics, the overall cost of the 2007-08 US federal elections was $5.3 billion, including about $2.4 billion on the presidential race.

Pay Per Click & Indian Elections 2009

We are all aware that the webosphere or blogosphere or whatever you want to call it has exploded over the last few years in India.

The highly successful “Pink Chaddi Campaign” run by the “Consortium of Pub Going, Loose & Forward Women” and orchestrated primarily through the synonymous Facebook group is a case in a point. In fact it would be a good idea to see if this is a first in the world, public outrage at a deplorable incident expressed on the web, a viral leap in conscientiousness and a truly ’social’ impact of the online community. (We will make an attempt to track the entire story in a separate post)

Coming back to the blogosphere, Aamir Khan, Salman Khan and Amitabh Bachan among others have jumped onto this bandwagon to, as they claim, ‘freely connect’ with their fans. When Bollywood has got into the action, how can our politicans who fancy themselves to be stars in their own right be far behind? So now we have official launches of websites and blogs by politicans with all the fanfare associated during the release of their party manifesto.

“Shri” Advani of the Bharatiya Janata Party, keeping the forthcoming general elections in mind seems to have gone a step further and hired web marketers to plaster advertisements all over the web. While this maybe percieved as forward looking by the web savvy audience that it seems to be wooing, the rather indiscriminate targeting and insipid messaging is beginning to grate.

Murder of Indian democracy–‘Favourite’ hangman chosen

Now the expected national disaster has taken place. Our President whose long standing loyalty to the Congress Party in general and to the Nehru family in particular is well known, has rejected the fair, objective and fearless recommendation of Gopalaswami, Chief Election Commissioner for the removal of Navin Chawla, Election Commissioner under Article 324 (5) of the Indian Constitution. It is reliably understood that this recommendation was made by Gopalaswami taking note of the clearly known antecedents of Navin Chawla right from the days of emergency in 1975-1977. At that time he was Secretary to Kishan Chand, Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and had abused his official authority in collusion with Sanjay Gandhi. This was indicted by the Shah Commission in these words: ‘Navin Chawla acted as the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi and Kishan Chand had to suffer the ignominy of serving as his Lieutenant.’ According to all the opposition parties, for the next 20 years, Navin Chawla acted as an informal political agent of the Congress party! More than 205 MPs had sent a representation against the appointment of Navin Chawla to the post of Election Commissioner. To cap it all, whilst being a member of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), he was running a trust in the name of his wife in Rajasthan and several Congress MPs, Congress Governors and Congress Ministers had contributed several lakhs of rupees as outright donations to this trust. And yet all these irregular acts of Navin Chawla were condoned by the Government. And now the non-descript President of India has put her final seal of approval on the appointment of Navin Chawla as Chief Election Commissioner to succeed Sri Gopalaswami who will retiring on 20 April, 2009. Thus the planned and brutal murder of Indian Democracy under Sonia Congress has been accomplished smoothly!

When Pratibha Patil was proposed for the Highest Constitutional Office of Indian President by Sonia Gandhi in 2007, Arun Shourie, the former Union Cabinet Minister had written a series of articles relating to the dubious and shady antecedents of Pratibha Patil and some members of her family. In these columns, I had written a series of five articles under the title ‘Why a President with criminal antecedents?’ The worst fears of enlightened and responsible citizens of India expressed fearlessly in May and June 2007 about the candidature of Mrs. Pratibha Patil have come true today! She has rejected the absolutely correct, objective, fair and fearless recommendation made by Gopalaswami under Article 324 (5) of the Indian Constitution for the removal of Navin Chawla from the office of the Election Commissioner on the valid public grounds of partiality, prejudiced functioning, pronounced pro-Sonia Congress leanings, known anti-Hindu and anti-BJP feelings etc. Much before she was elected as Indian President, I had clearly indicated in June 2007 itself that she is being planted in that position in advance by Sonia Gandhi to suitably manipulate the process of appointment of Congress Prime Minister after the general election of 2009!

Immediately after Gopalaswami sent his letter of recommendation for the removal of Navin Chawla to the President of India, our Union Law Minister had openly come out in support of Navin Chawla. He even went to the extent of questioning the Constitutional authority of Chief Election Commissioner under Article 324 of the Indian Constitution. Pratibha Patil is a Congress woman. Our Union Law Minister is a Congress man. Navin Chawla is a known Congress man. All of them are known tenants at will, holding such public Offices as they are holding, at the sole will, whim, caprice and pleasure of Sonia Gandhi. It is not therefore surprising that all of them seem to be working in unison to rig the general elections of 2009 in favour of Sonia Congress party.

Election Commission is the fountainhead and apex authority for the smooth functioning of our democracy. Let me refer to Proviso 2 under Article 324 (clause 5) of the Constitution of India: Proviso 2 states:

PROVIDED FURTHER THAT ANY OTHER ELECTION COMMISSIONER OR A REGIONAL COMMISSIONER SHALL NOT BE REMOVED FROM OFFICE EXCEPT ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF THE CHIEF ELECTION COMMISSIONER.” While the first proviso to clause (5) of Article 324 of the Constitution stipulates that “the Chief Election Commissioner shall not be removed from his office except in like manner and on the like grounds as a Judge of the Supreme Court…’, the second proviso lays down that any other Election Commissioner or Regional Commissioner shall not be removed from office except on the recommendation of the Chief Election Commissioner.

A plain reading and interpretation of the proviso 2 under article 324 suggests that the power and jurisdiction under the Constitution to recommend removal of an Election Commissioner (EC) vests solely and exclusively with the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) and no other authority — neither the Government nor even the judiciary is empowered to make such a recommendation. The moment information about the bona fides of an EC comes into his possession either from his own observation or from reliable and responsible sources, the CEC is duty bound to activate the process of ascertaining the truth of it and exercise his power to make an appropriate recommendation. It is far-fetched to argue, as some experts have done, that he has to await some reference from an extraneous agency, whether it is the Government or any other, before initiating the process and making his recommendation. Since the CEC is the only person qualified to make the recommendation, by implication, no other authority has the power to second-guess it or sit in judgment over it. The Law Minister has asserted that an EC can be removed only by impeachment like the CEC. Such a stand flies against the letter and spirit of the Constitution as it stands at present and it is disturbing that a Law Minister should be making such an obviously untenable statement.

Neither the Union Law Minister nor for that matter any Judge, including the Chief Justice of India, has a right to take away the Constitutional Right of the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) to make this recommendation for the removal of any Election Commissioner (EC) working under his overall control. Article 324 (v) gives freedom and discretion to the Chief Election Commissioner to sit in Judgement on the administrative suitability/desirability of having a known pro-Congress (24 x 7) man like Navin Chawla as his Election Commissioner, particularly with Parliamentary Elections 2009 round the corner.

Two months before his appointment as Election Commissioner in 2005, using his clout with Sonia Gandhi and the Congress Party, Navin Chawla was moving for his appointment as Union Home Secretary. At that time on 16 March 2005, I wrote in News Today under the headline ‘SHAME WITHOUT HONOUR’:People who are worried about good governance in India are quite shocked by the recent news item that the present Union Information and Broadcasting Secretary Navin Chawla is being tipped for the post of Union Home Secretary which is now being held by Dhirendar Singh. Dhirendar Singh is retiring on 31 March, 2005. Navin Chawla is due for retirement on 31 July, 2005. The most spectacularly classical element in Indian bureaucracy is that whilst all bureaucrats of similar seniority are equal on paper, yet some chosen few are more equal than others. Navin Chawla belongs to the latter category with tremendous clout in the UPA government thanks to his unbroken record of loyalty and ‘service’ to the Nehru family. He was very close to Sanjay Gandhi and wielded unprecedented power in his official capacity as Secretary to the Lt. Governor of the Union Territory of Delhi Kishan Chand during Emergency in 1975-77. He functioned as the de–facto Governor of Delhi and several bureaucrats who happened to interact with him during this period have confirmed the fact that he was known for his unabashed authoritarianism’… Any other officer with this kind of background would have been sidelined under the cliché ridden dead political clause of ‘LAW WILL TAKE ITS OWN COURSE’. But there are spectacular exceptions to this general rule in our decadent and Perverted democracy. Navin Chawla comes under the most outstanding exception category’.

Later, in these very columns in News Today on 9-2-2006, in an article titled ‘FOR GOD’S SAKE, GO! NAVIN CHAWLA!’ I had written on the public unsuitability of Navin Chawla for the high Constitutional appointment of Election Commissioner. My words are no less relevant today than they were on 9-2-2006:

‘Chawla’s appointment as Election Commissioner was against the public interest and all the more objectionable because, by sheer seniority, Chawla would be the Chief Election Commissioner in 2009 when the general election is due. It may not be out of place or out of context to reasonably imagine that Sonia Gandhi has cleverly planted him in this post keeping in view the interest of her son Rahul Gandhi whom she wants to elevate to the post of Prime Minister of India in 2009. In case Navin Chawla performs as per her expectations in 2009, he may as well land up to begin with as the Vice-President of India and later with Sonia willing, may even become the Indian President! Normally when we are helpless we say that ‘God only knows!’ But unfortunately for India and for all of us, even God does not know. Perhaps ‘Sonia only knows’ - all the way, now and for ever!!”

It is a matter of national shame that we have had a surrogate Prime Minister from May 2004; we have had a surrogate President from August 2007; and we are going to have a surrogate Chief Election Commissioner from April 20, 2009. With their favorite hangman in position, the cold-blooded murder of Indian Democracy by Sonia Congress will be total and complete. GOD SAVE INDIA AND HER PEOPLE!

Our Netas from UP & Bihar

All big names, but there is a saying Unchee Dukan Feeke Pakwan, all politicians from these states are the people who comeup from ground and not born with a silver spoon.

Public gave them multiple chances to prove that a commom man can do good to another commom man... but what have they given us,

1. another family based politics with wife & other relatives beig pushed in politics who are illitrate & don't know anything other then talking all the nonsense, stopping trains etc etc..

2. more power & money hungry politicians, started with nothing but today have properties and jewellary worth crores ( a huge national loss, gathered from looting public wealth from projects done on papers, bribes, extortion from people ( just the recent killing due to collection dispute as a result of targets given to party Netas for the B'day celebrations of the Party Supremo)

3. Corruption reaching the lowest most strata of the society. Even for getting the dead body of those killed in a terrorist attack one need to bribe the hospital staff ( shame on us). Today no government office shy in taking bribes over the table ( the word under the table is out now), "Ab dar kaisa jab sab chor hain"

4. Non Judicious use of Human & natural resources - People of UP & Bihar are the hardest working class of people who if not available in certain states the development of those states will be out of question, but what......they are being looked down upon as aliens & necessary evilscoz their netas have spoilt their image. Every one believe them to be criminals as their Netas.

5. More caste & religion nased politics -- what good been done in the last 60 years for the poor of these two states except some speeches during election giving negative air to sentiments & creating a bigger divide on bases of religion & caste.

6. New & BIGGER scams, bigger the biggest heard before
Why these NETAS, so called the ones from the commom people turned this way, is it coz they are illitrates, coz they are infected with some deadly virus name politics, or are we have selected the wrong people to lead us, may be yes. We have let them create a VOTE BANK of their own & play with us, play with india.
Let us get together the throw them out, let us rise above our religion & caste & show them that they are not here for always.
I SWEAR I will vote

We "educated" individuals, always run away from politics?

It has been a queer enigma every time I have sat down to think about it. I am certain that its not only me, but almost every educated individual who has thought about it, felt strongly about it, wanted to take action about it and then gradually forgotten about it; ofcourse barring a few who have taken steps to change the situation, but have either miserably failed to create an impact or have just lost thier significance in works which are never highlighted in the media and fail to grab public attention. The crux is that, we as "educated" individuals, have got all the time to crib about situations, but have rarely found ways to change them.

I tend to remember a very intriguing line somewhere a long time back. It said that "All men desire peace, but very few desire those things that really bring peace". So true as it is, I find myself in a very similar state right now. The question I raise here is that "Why Politics and Education always seem to be running a race in completely opposite directions?"

Why the hell do we, I again quote, "educated" individuals, always run away from politics? We always want the government to behave the way we want it to, but if we just introspect a bit, what have we at all done to make sure that the governmets atleast hear what we need and want out of them. Do we really expect them to come to our doorsteps and ask things? I know they make promises which they never fulfill, but how many times have we punished them for not doing so?

Are we so helpless that we cant do anything? Or is it just our lethargy that has created so much of inertia that we fail to move a bit - even when the cities are taken hostage and the girls are raped under open sun? Are we all really waiting for things to happen to us before we realize that it is our onus to take action and set things right.

Why are the educated individuals so averse of even touching politics and taking the reins in our own hands? Most of the times you question an "educated" citizen about his involvement in politics, you would perhaps hear, "Main seedha saadha aadmi hoon, politics ke khel mein mera kya kaam?" ... Yeah?... So true, I know damn too much to enter politics, it is meant for criminals and illiterates. It really pinches me when I compare the backgrounds of our politicans with those of America or UK. Our politicians have histories of crimes, and an education they cant even prove they have. And at the same time, countries are being run by law scholars from Harvard and Rhodes scholars - the real intellectual lot. And then we crib of all the problems. Shame on us, shame on India's educated youth, who knows only rights, not duties; who knows only how to demand, not give. Let's rise together, let's pledge to be a part of the system - take your first step, Begin Voting..!!

ARE WE SLAVES

We believe that we have achieved Independence on 15th August 1947. We became an independent country having our own countrymen administering the states' affairs for the welfare of its countrymen.

Let us compare todays scenario with the pre-independence era.

1) Before Independence India was ruled by British and all administrative decisions were taken by them. Coming to post independence era in 21st century, India is being ruled by NETAS and all administrative decisions are taken by them.

2) British rulers were cruel as they exploited people of India and took away the wealth from India to their motherland. Today's Indian NETAS pretend to be generous and loot us, build their corpus and take away India's wealth to SWISS account.

3) British did not want Indians to study to deprive them knowledge of their basic human rights. Todays NETAS expresses their desire to see India 100% literate but, in fact, devoid them of basic necessities of life like food, housing and health to be able to think about education.

4) British divided us over caste, religion, region, language, customs etc., which continues even today by our ambitious NETAS who inspires young and old to fight for petty issues to ensure that we never stand united to demand a report card of their performance during their ruling and thus their positions safe in politics for the subsequent tenures.

5) Before India's independence, we Indians had no say in decisions like nominations for Viceroy or Governor General of India. Today we have right to vote but hardly have good candidates contesting elections.

6) British atleast were contributors to their motherland, but, our NETAS have always seen their self interests over and above our motherland.

HOW ARE WE INDEPENDENT THEN? COME ON! WAKE UP AND STAND UNITED TO FREE OUR MOTHERLAND FROM THE HANDS OF CORRUPT & SELFISH netas? Let us bring this change in the coming elections?

Constitution was written considering the perspective of the leaders who fought for India's freedom from British. With the change in perceptions of the people and integrity of our political class under suspect, now is the time to bring about all necessary changes in the constitution and ensure corruption free system. Let us contribute in this regard.
NO WE ARE NOT SLAVES TO THESE NONSENSE NETAS
Let us pledge not to vote to any party allowing candidates with criminal background!
