"Maneka Gandhi plays the communal card"
"Amid all the drama in Pilibhit, Varun's mother Maneka Gandhi took the communal discourse in the area one step further. She accused one police officer of opening fire, highlighting the fact that he was a Muslim.
"Only one police inspector -- whom we've kept our eye on for a long time now -- he alone has hit 25 of those people. His name is Pervez Mia. And this is really frightening for he has been root cause of these things for the last 2 years," she said.
When asked to clarify her statement, she said: "I have given you his (police officer's) name. And the accusation is straight pointing at him. Anyways, I appeal for peace. And I am sure that justice will be done."
The MP from Pilhibit, who is hoping to hand over her political lineage to her son, reached her constituency in time to assume the role of the grieving politician, visiting first the injured in hospital and then her son at the Pilhibit jail. "
Menka ji, you are a seasoned person & a very respectable politician, i request you not to start this. We people of India don't expect this from a educated & honest personality like you.. that too just for some political gains....Pls. give a thought what you are giving to the nation doing this. I request you to pls. don't play the same dirty card for communal politics.
Else we the Responsible Citizen of the country know how to vote you out of the parliament...
